I saw Mr Gupta today for a second follow up to surgery which he carried out on 20 October 2022. Unfortunately I injured my spine in 2005 while working for NATO which meant that I became disabled and needed to use a wheelchair. I use to wheel myself around in a manual wheelchair for 16 years which began to cause pain problems to both shoulders. I had guided ultrasound injections in both shoulders but the ultrasound scan showed a full thickness tear in the tendon of my right shoulder. I requested to be referred to Mr Gupta as he had carried out a very successful operation on my left arm in March 2015 - Left Elbow Ulnar Nerve Decompression & anterior transposition. Mr Gupta carried out a right shoulder arthroscopic subacromial decompression and supraspinatus repair in October and today was a follow up which was just under the three month period since my operation. I have now 98% of all movement back in my right shoulder and continuing with daily physiotherapy exercises. I would certainly recommend Mr Gupta as I believe him to be an exceptional upper limb surgeon who gets fantastic results.

Mr Gupta was highly recommended to me and filled me full of confidence right from our initial meeting, very attentive and genuinely empathetic.

My experience with Mr Gupta has been very positive and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to others. From the outset he was very easy to contact and my initial appointment with him was soon after my first contact. During my various appointments (that have always been on time and at the same hospital) he has explained in detail the procedures and treatments I have received and ensured I understood them all. Post surgery I have seen him a number of times in order that he can monitor my progress. I have found him very easy to communicate with throughout my dealings with him.

I was suffering numbness and pain from my left wrist and hand. Mr Gupta diagnosed carpel tunnel pressure that required a minor op to relieve the pressure. He explained the diagnosis, the procedure that he was recommending and the likely outcome thoroughly. I had immediate confidence in him and in his professional ability, a confidence that I retained throughout the treatment. The operation went well, the after-care consultation was helpful and the discussion and advice were clear.I am thoroughly satisfied with the treatment I received.
